Places of interest to visit when staying in Hobart
Cadbury Chocolate Factory

Established in 1922 the tour includes a video presentation
before setting off on a 2 kilometre tour. The tour
will end at the factory shop where the whole range
of Cadbury products is available.
Cascade Brewery Tour
Tel: (03) 6221 8300
Established in 1832 this is the oldest brewery in
Australia and the most famous façade in Hobart.
Tours are conducted at 9.30am and 1.00pm each weekday.
The tour takes about 2 hours and the museum is open
to the public.
Harbour Cruises
Explore Hobart’s historic waterfront from a selection
of cruises leaving just 5 minutes walk away from
the Hotel. You can choose from cruises that pass
under the Tasman Bridge, pass Government House,
Royal Botanical Gardens or the waterfront Incat
Catamaran Factory.

Just 25 minutes north of the centre of Hobart you
can see Tasmanian devils interacting, wombats burrowing,
echidnas feeding and quolls playing quietly. The
Bush Tucker Shed is open every day for teas, lunches
and can supply picnics with damper and billy tea
to round them off.
Salamanca Place
A long row of stylish Georgian sandstone warehouses
built in Hobart in the 1830’s. The buildings now
house boutiques, restaurants, cafes, studios and
galleries. Saturday the popular Salamanca Markets
are a must.
Botanical Gardens
The spectacular Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens,
est. 1818 boasts over 6000 exotic and native species,
the largest collection of mature conifers in the
southern hemisphere as well as an ornamental Japanese
garden.

Sullivans Cove Whiskey is made here in view of visitors.
Museum tours run every day. Spirits made at the
distillery and a range of liqueur chocolates, preserved
fruits, jams and gourmet products are available
for sale.
